DON NUXHALL – Don Nuxhall retired from a 50-year career in 2009, but didn’t hit his stride until the 60s. He was honored as an All-American in the SPA World Series in Manassas, Va. in 1996, as an All-World selection in the ISSA 65+ Majors in Ft. Myers, Fl. in 1998, as a member of the SSUSA All-Winter National team in 2002, and as an SPA All-American in Dalton, Ga. In 2009. His greatest thrill came in 2003 in the 70+ senior division, when he won the Triple Crown Grand Slam in Mobile, Al. with Mitchell Construction. Don was inducted into the Butler Co. Hall of Fame in 1984. His career was marked by his versatility, as he excelled at 5 different positions. His primary position however was 3rd base. He compiled a lifetime batting average of .740. Don passed away in 2012.
