Male Player, National Hall of Fame

BRIAN WEGMAN – Brian Wegman’s breakout season came in 2004, when he was named Player of the Year with Watanabe/TPS locally, then powered Creative Stucco/TPS to a USSSA Class A World crown. Two years later with Benfield he won the first of a dozen All-World Series selections. “Wegs” also collected Defensive MVP, Offensive MVP (2X) and Batting Leader honors at the Series. In 14 World Series appearances, Brian’s team never finished below 4th place, and won 4 titles. He was also named to the All-Conference USSSSA team 13 times. Brian was inducted into the USSSA National Hall of Fame in 2021. During 11 seasons in the outfield, he gained a reputation as one of the most electrifying fielders in the country. Brian also made a run with USSSA administratively. He was appointed Ohio USSSA State Director in 2014, then just six years later rose to the level of COO.
